My book is done!

I finally got all 276 pages of my book done. I used BLURB and just downloaded all my blogs from 2008 into a hard cover, full color 10x8 inch book. I am so excited. I won't get it until the end of June, but I am glad to have it done! Not that this post is interesting but, I know there are a few of you out there that were wondering when I would finish it...

Wahoo! That's a lot of work. I wish I could do that with all the free-time I have but I have no internet!...yet:D

I really want to do that too...so I have a few q's. are the pics good resolution if they're taken right from the blog? just wondering if I can make them bigger, say 5x7 when I make a book from my blog or if I have to keep them small. and is it easy to edit the journaling? I guess i'm just trying to figure out if you liked the program b/c I've used shutterfly to make other books (not from my blog), but maybe BLURB is easier for blog books?
p.s. I'm glad to hear your pregnancy is going well too...9 months IS a long time when you're so anxious to meet the little angel!

I was frustrated when I tried to lay that out because it did a new blog post on every page and the pictures small in the corner, and I have a lot of early posts that are like a few sentences.... in word my blog is like 400 pages.. I was also curious how much it cost you for a book that size??

I am working on a year in the life book for Holly's first year, it's a Page a Day .. She was born in March, and I think I am through October on the layout.. it is just taking so long..

Also, did you proof read and correct your blog book, I have so many errors, I almost feel compelled to fix them all.. if it will be in print.

My 276 page book started off as 600 pages! I had to change all the layout. I just slurped in my blog to save me that time but, I still had to change everything to have it the way I wanted. SO, ya, you will have a lot of pages laid out a weird way when you slurp it in, you just have to take the time to lay it out the way you want. I had to go through an put in my kid's names instead of their ages an I added in extra pictures in sections that I didn't put on the blog.

It is actually really easy, I am a graphic designer so maybe easy for me, may be hard for someone else. But they have templates and the whole nine yards so it wasn't bad--it took time--but it wasn't hard--you just need to work on it a little at a time.

the cost for my 276 page book with a hard cover and image wrap on the cover was $77 plus the $13 for 2 day shipping. Now you won't get it in 2 days because they need to print it first but, I wanted to make sure I got it as soon as possible. Anyway, I hope that answers everyone's questions...

Oh, and the pictures are high resolution because it won't accept it at certain sizes unless is it high resolution enough, so you're safe that way.

Well I know mine is no where near as impressive as your, but I did print mine up and put it in plastic covers and in a cheap wal mart speical binder. Does that count for anything?
